What you'll do

Supervise and lead a team of drillers and other personnel in the drilling operations.

Ensure that all drilling operations are carried out safely and in compliance with the company's safety standards and regulations.

Plan and coordinate drilling activities to meet production targets and ensure that drilling equipment is maintained and serviced properly.

Ensure that all drilling records are properly maintained and reported accurately.

Monitor the drilling operations and identify potential problems or issues and implement solutions to ensure that drilling activities are not interrupted.

Train and mentor new drilling personnel and ensure that all personnel are trained in safety procedures and drilling techniques.

Ensure that drilling equipment and materials are stocked and ordered in a timely manner.

Carry out regular inspections of drilling equipment to identify and correct any defects or issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Strong leadership and management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of drilling equipment and techniques.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to work in an underground mining environment.

Physical ability to work in a confined space and lift heavy equipment.

Willingness to work flexible hours.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Several years of experience in underground drilling operations

Have a valid Driver's License to operate company vehicles

Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test (illegal and legal substances)
