Job Purpose / Objective
- As a strategic business partner, this position aligns business objectives with associates and leadership in designated business units
- Acts as internal consultant to both management and associates on Human Resource (HR) related responsibilities to include recruitment, employee relations, benefits & salary administration, and management development
- Serves as a change agent communicating observations and needs proactively to Corporate
- Maintains an effective level of business literacy to include the financial position and business objectives of the designated business units and CBIZ overall
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Develop and preserve effective working relationships with CBIZ associates, business unit leadership and HR team to successfully impact performance through efficient planning, recruiting, development, and trainingPartner with leadership in driving business objectivesWork closely with management and associates to improve relationships, culture and morale, increasing productivity and retention of talentFacilitate discussion with management and associates on employment matters and legal issuesServe as liaison with associates and Employee Service Center resolving benefit mattersProvide ongoing associate / leader education to meet demands of growing marketProvide input to Corporate HR in policy developmentMonitor management and associate staffing levels; identify recruiting and training needs; ensure assimilation of new hires through the on boarding program; utilize effective recruiting sources and methods to attract and select talented employees while effectively balancing external hiring and internal promotionsCommunicate and assist in the administration of various HR programs, including; salary administration, health & welfare benefits, performance appraisal. planning, and other key programsChampion through communication and facilitation Corporate HR strategic initiativesServe as liaison with management and Corporate HR in addressing disciplinary action and separationsConduct all exit interviews and coordinate unemployment claimsMay be primary user of HRISMaintain secure personnel filesSupervise HR staff (if applicable)Participate in committees and special projectsAdditional responsibilities as assignedMinimum Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree requiredGraduate or specialty degree preferred10 years experiencePHR / SPHR preferredStrong HR generalist backgroundExtensive knowledge in performance management, legal (federal / state), employee relations, compensation / benefits, and HRIS also requiredStrong organizational skills, time management and multi tasking ability and prioritizingDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyDemonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict and problem resolutionProficient use of applicable technologyMust be able to travel based on client and business needs Reporting RelationshipsMay supervise staff Discretion and Independent JudgmentStrong level of independent judgment#LI-MM2 #LI-Hybrid
