Financial Services Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)
Century City or Downtown Los Angeles
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level Financial Services Associate Attorney to join a national AmLaw firm with a leading debt finance practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–6 years of sophisticated finance experience who is eager to work directly with high-profile clients and accelerate their career within a collaborative, high-performing team.
About the Role
The incoming associate will work on a wide range of financing transactions for major financial institutions, debt funds, and other lenders. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred :
Securities-based financings
Private equity fund finance
Sponsor-backed acquisition financings
Asset-based and cash flow lending
Other complex lending transactions
You’ll be part of a team known nationally for its strength in debt finance, capital markets, and private equity across diverse industries. Attorneys in this group work on sophisticated transactions while enjoying a collegial culture that values professional growth and collaboration.
What They’re Looking For
3–6 years of relevant finance experience, ideally from a large law firm
Strong drafting skills and the ability to manage transactions from start to close
Confidence interfacing with clients and opposing counsel
Self-starter mentality and desire to take ownership of matters
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to the California Bar (required)
Compensation
$260,000 – $390,000, depending on experience and qualifications, in accordance with California pay transparency laws.
Location
This position may be based in Century City or Downtown Los Angeles .
