Job Summary :
This position is responsible for working with all aspects of the accounting department. The Accounting Clerk will have a working knowledge of general accounting procedures
Key Responsibilities :
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to work within a group
- Ability to analyze data and be able to come up with a solution
- Good customer service when dealing with customers
- Highly motivated
- Provides feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety, productivity, etc.
- Follow all operational and safety procedures
- Ability to be able to comprehend sales tax reporting
- Analyze customer accounts for balances due
- Process refunds
- The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned
Education / Work Experience :
2 year accounting degree or 4 years’ experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of accounting processesKnowledge of sales tax processingAttention to detailOrganizedCan work independentlyAbility to multi-taskWorking knowledge with accounting software and ExcelWorking knowledge of credit card processing a plusPhysical Expectations :
