WHAT YOU WILL DO : As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be focused on the build out and expansion of our global network including greenfield deployments for new office builds. You'll work closely with the Network Engineering team, Project Managers and with various vendors and partners (including hardware vendors, logistics, and network providers, and ISPs) to setup, maintain and improve our global infrastructure. Onsite in San Francisco - Financial District (full-time).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in the design, deployment and operations of new site builds, with both logically segmented and air-gapped networks.
- Provisioning of hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Work closely with building contractors and ISPs to ensure IT MDFs, server rooms and ISP circuits are delivered on time.
- Create documentation such as network “as builds” and topologies.
- Aggressively seek opportunities to introduce cutting‑edge technology and automation solutions that are effective, efficient and scalable to improve our ability to deploy and maintain our global infrastructure.
- Plan and implement network installations, including facility power / cooling, security / access, rack layout and cable management.
- Provide technical guidance during deployment activities.
- Undertake Wi‑Fi surveys and plan accordingly for Wi‑Fi design / deployment across multiple floors.
- Create and maintain documentation, plans, SOPs, MOPs, etc.
- Collaborate with internal teams (infrastructure engineering, network engineering) for day‑to‑day activities.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :
Highly visible position requiring deep technical understanding of office infrastructure, physical and logical networking and basic experience with data analysis and project management.Excellent technical skills, communication skills, and ability to navigate a range of challenges and constraints (e.g. schedule adherence, time zones, cultures).Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience in a Network Engineering role focusing on new site designs and buildouts.Minimum 3 years experience in a Network operations role and highly familiar with Cisco Catalyst Centre, Catalyst routing & switching, Wi‑Fi design, deployment and operational tuning.Experience solving problems through automation.Ability to write scripts for internal tools.#J-18808-Ljbffr
