The Database Administrator I provides database administration for Microsoft SQL Server / Epic Cache / Oracle, including but not limited to administration, replication, backup / restore procedures, and related components such as Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services, in addition to providing support for databases outside of SQL. This entry-level position is usually assigned smaller or less complex systems or business units than are assigned to the higher levels.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Bachelor's level degree in Information Technology, Math, Computer Science, or other related field, or equivalent (4 years) relevant experience.

Possesses a beginning to working (or, if no degree, 4+ years) knowledge of subject matter.

Analytical skills, Communication skills, Adaptable and flexible.

Windows Server Operating Systems Security concepts and technologies, including PCI & PHI understanding.

Active Directory, Group Policy, DBS, DHCP & DFS. Enterprise storage, Enterprise-scale patch management & related maintenance methodologies.

Network principles, protocols & Technologies.

Epic Cache, Cogito, Oracle, SQL, and other database technology platforms backup & recovery, including Disaster Recovery.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and / or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

Two years of experience.

Prior healthcare experience.
