Customer Service Technician

Responsibilities / JobSummary

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Technician to join our team. In this position you are responsible as neededfor the delivery set up and maintenance of medical equipment oxygenand supplies and the instruction to patients and / or caregiversconcerning proper use and maintenance of equipment.

Position isalso responsible as needed for providing customer service over thephone and inperson to patients and referral sources.

• Adheres tocompany policies and procedures in regards to using personnelprotective safety equipment
• Assists withupdating respiratory grid
• Available for oncallassignments as needed
• Completes all necessarydelivery forms and paperwork including but not limited to invoiceswork orders manifests and logs patient care instructions routesheets etc.
• Coordinates verification ofMedicare Medicaid and private insurance coverageinformation
• Delivers sets up and maintainsequipment at the delivery address using company vehicle
• Develops and maintains working knowledge of currentproducts and services offered by the company and all applicablegovernmental regulations
• Educates the patientand / or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivereditems
• Maintains assigned company vehicle in aclean and safe working condition
• Maintainsreferral log
• Manages all aspects of intake : answering the phone and receiving faxes collecting patient andreferral source information data input into IMBS printing ticketsassembling charts and processing paperwork
• Monitors office supplies
• Observesadditional needs that the patient may have and reports same duringmorning meeting
• Prepares CMNs / SOPs for SalesReps and documents on tracking log
• Preparescomplete and accurate files for Billing Department
• Prepares tickets for daily routes
• Provides service for walkin patients
• Reports equipment hazards and / or product incidents asrequired
• Works with location personnel tocoordinate deliveries
• Performs other duties asassigned

Travel

Travel via company vehicle required to patients homes forsetups and reoccurring delivery

Qualifications :

Employment is contingenton

• Backgroundinvestigation (companywide)
• Drug screen( when applicable for the position )
• Valid drivers license in state of residence with a cleandriving record (when applicable for theposition)

Required Education and / orExperience

High schooldiploma or GED equivalent required

Preferred Education and / orExperience

• Experience withmedical equipment preferred
• One year ofrelated work experience preferred
• Medicalterminology preferred

• Mechanically inclinedfor the repair and troubleshooting of equipment
• Successfully demonstrates loading unloading and propertie down procedures as per company policy of transportedcargo
• Understands use of all applicable homerespiratory equipment and supplies

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry office equipment at times
• Requires sitting walking standing talking andlistening
• Requires close vision to small printon computer and / or tablet and paperwork
• Requires lifting (minimum of 65 pounds) and transportingof patient equipment
• Requires contact withpatients and equipment with potential exposure to contagiouspathogens
• Requires driving a company vehiclefor the majority of the workday
• Required tocomply with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask FitTesting Policy
• Medical Evaluation and FitTesting Compliance in a timely manner
• AnnualRecertification
• Keep face cleanshaven toensure N95 Mask faceseal protection per OSHA guidelines
