On-Premise - Business Development Manager (POM Wonderful)
Job Description
- Develop new on-premise account relationships with universities, bars, restaurants & hospitality chains, as well as select convenience stores
- Develop relationships, build brand presence, and execute key sales strategies to develop new accounts and grow existing POM business
- Actively manage distributor and redistributor networks with a focus on developing relationships with key Foodservice distributors
- Develop route-to-market strategy for non-traditional channels serviced through distributor networks
- Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously developing, executing, and participating in sales meetings with appropriate frequency to increase share of mind, distribution, programming, and feature activity
- Develop and execute account-specific customer programs to achieve optimal business objectives
- Assist in developing and delivering annual business reviews at each of your accounts
- Drive improved execution of account programming by collaborating with customer headquarters contacts and potential broker partners, including making calls on direct and broker-represented customers
- Drive quality business communication and ongoing cross-functional interaction with Brokers, Sales Team, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing
- Assess risk and impact potential for new business opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling multiple product lines to multiple accounts across various channels
- Bachelor’s degree or 4-6 years of sales experience
- Must have a strong understanding of Foodservice supply chain and distributor network
- Experience with managing Foodservice distributors and Broadliners
- Deliver strategic, fact-based presentations and business plans that incorporate actionable insights to retailers, distributors, and internal customers
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Manage account level P&L for branded portfolio
- Ability to adapt to evolving roles and responsibilities; open to new learning opportunities
- Solid understanding of the following areas : sales and distribution functions, business development, and point-of-sale marketing
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable developing new business contacts and relationships
- Must be available for up to 35% - 50% travel at times
- Intermediate computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Experience analyzing sales data (shipments, depletions, POS data, etc.)
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and support multiple internal customers
Pay Range : $110,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
