Job descriptionProvide project management for various projects and programs; track the progress of deliverables, schedules, and budgets; ensure timely project communication with staff and project partners. Preparation of written, oral, and visual reports and presentations for various audiences and groups. Coordinate and participate in the preparation, administration, and evaluation of various grants from the state and federal government that provide funding for local programs and projects. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Any equivalent education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

The Acadiana Planning Commission is seeking a Regional Planner. The candidate's primary responsibility includes facilitating community planning activities within the Acadiana Region. The ideal candidate possesses multi-disciplinary skills to work on regional programming in areas related to not only Economic and Community Development,but also transportation planning, land-use planning, watershed planning, and grant writing.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional and technical assistance.
Collates, analyses and presents data relevant to APC projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
