Engineering Technician

Ad Astra Diagnostics (AAD) is looking for an Engineering Technician to support the assembly and development of AAD’s cutting-edge medical devices and sample analyzers.

You will be joining a collaborative team responsible for precision fabrication and manufacturing tasks, including sheet metal work, CNC and mill operation, and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure high-quality, reliable device performance.

You will also actively contribute to quality assurance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives that support regulatory compliance and ongoing product development.

Responsibilities include :

• Assemble complex medical devices and sample analyzers in accordance with engineering specifications and established quality standards.
• Perform sheet metal fabrication and operate manual or CNC milling equipment as required for production or prototyping.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
• Document assembly and inspection procedures, including the drafting and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues during assembly and testing.
• Provide on-site field support, including troubleshooting and repairing devices at customer locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support agile manufacturing and development processes.
