• Other details : The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 9-12 patients per shift. Locum coverage is needed until permanent providers are hired, ideally with one to three locum physicians covering a total of three weeks per month. Providers will be scheduled in weekly blocks from Monday 8 a.m. to Monday 7 a.m., working primarily in the hospital or clinic depending on need. Call schedules will vary with hospital staffing, with weekends consisting of 24-hour call that are mostly phone-based and rarely require in-person visits. Physicians are preferred for seven-day stretches that combine clinic and call, typically beginning with clinic shifts during the week and ending with weekend call coverage. Clinic duties generally include seeing 12 patients per day and reading 10 echocardiograms, while designated echo reading days involve reviewing approximately 25 studies with evening call. Weekend responsibilities include general and echo call, inpatient rounds, consults, and handling incoming referral line calls, averaging about eight echocardiograms daily. Overtime is applicable after 40 clinical hours per week.
