Our in-house capabilities include flat and tube laser cutting, forming using a 250-ton sheet metal brake, welding, and finishing. Role Overview : As a structural detailer at Johnson Metal Works, you'll play a pivotal role in our production workflow. Collaborate closely with our skilled fabrication team to strategize and design with an emphasis on manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, functionality and safety. You'll work largely on detailing for our structural metal department.

Key Responsibilities :

• Drawing and Modeling : Create detailed, accurate drawings and 3D models that meet specifications and are clear to shop operators.
• Compliance and Quality Control : Ensure all designs follow formatting best practices and meet JMW and industry standards.
• Scope Management : Identify and communicate any project scope changes that may require change orders, supporting efficient project management.
• RFI and Specification Support : Assist in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and clarifying design specifications as needed.
• Document Control : Maintain organized digital and physical records for all designs, ensuring accessibility and traceability.
• Adaptability in Design : Make necessary adjustments to designs as required by project needs or team feedback, demonstrating flexibility.
• Learning and Development : Stay up-to-date with new procedures, tools, and organizational software as introduced by JMW.
