Job Title : Credit Specialist

Position Summary :
The Credit Specialist is responsible for supporting the credit and collections functions by evaluating customer creditworthiness, processing credit applications, assisting with account management, and helping maintain the overall health of the company’s accounts receivable portfolio. This role combines both analytical and administrative responsibilities and plays a key part in protecting company assets while supporting customer relationships and sales.
Key Responsibilities :
Credit Analysis & Customer Evaluation
- Review and analyze credit applications, trade references, and credit bureau reports.
- Recommend credit terms and limits based on financial risk assessment and company policy.
- Maintain customer credit files and update records regularly.
Credit Account Setup & Maintenance
Process new customer applications and ensure all required documents are received.Verify business licenses, tax IDs, and references.Input approved credit terms into ERP system accurately.Accounts Receivable Support
Monitors open accounts to identify past-due balances or credit limit violations.Assist in contacting customers for payment reminders or resolving invoice disputes.Work with Sales and Customer Service to release orders held for credit reasons.Assist with month—end closing and audit support as needed.Processing Customer PaymentsProcessing BillingQualifications : Education :
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required.Or 4+ years of relevant hands-on experienceExperience :
2–4 years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role.Experience in a B2B or distribution environment is preferred.Skills :
Basic knowledge of credit principles, financial statements, and risk evaluation.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systemsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.Work Environment :
Office-based (in Carrollton, TX), Monday–Friday business hours.Compensation & Benefits :
