The Senior Director of Production & Operations will oversee the studio’s daily operations, manage cross-functional teams, and lead the production of multiple game projects. This role blends executive producer oversight with strategic operational leadership, ensuring that our studio scales effectively, hits business goals, and maintains high-quality standards.

You will work closely with the CEO to execute company strategy, optimize internal processes, and mitigate risks such as compliance and platform requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in casual F2P mobile games, understands live operations and product KPIs, and thrives in a leadership role.

OBJECTIVES

Production Leadership

Oversee production pipelines across multiple game projects, ensuring milestones and quality targets are met.

Manage and mentor producers, product managers, and cross-functional leads (design, art, engineering).

Drive alignment between creative, product, and business goals.

Operational Management

Manage day-to-day studio operations, ensuring smooth communication and workflow between teams.

Coordinate and align teams across offices, fostering collaboration and shared goals.

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.

Partner with leadership on headcount planning, hiring, and resource allocation.

Strategic Execution

Translate company vision into actionable production and operational plans.

Support business strategy, including roadmap prioritization, monetization, and live ops initiatives.

Monitor KPIs, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects deliver strong ROI.

Risk & Compliance Oversight

Ensure company and games meet platform requirements (Apple, Google) and regulatory / compliance standards (COPPA, GDPR, etc.).

Spearhead regulatory and compliance documentation, processes and oversight.

Proactively identify risks (technical, production, operational) and implement mitigation plans.

COMPETENCIES

Strong understanding of mobile game KPIs (DAU, ARPDAU, retention) and monetization systems.

Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to align creative, technical, and business teams.

Knowledge of compliance, platform guidelines, and operational risk management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

8+ years in mobile game production, product management, or studio operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

Helped launched and / or manage at least one successful F2P mobile title with live operations.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent projects, ideally across different geographic locations / time zones.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Los Angeles, CA : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work;

Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer.

The range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000 depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
