What You'll Do :

As a Behavioral Health Counselor, within the Mobile Crisis team, participate as a member of the service delivery team to provide risk assessments, crisis interventions, safety planning, coordination of care including discharge planning, brief interventions, group work and potential placement for clients.

These services are provided to individuals who are in behavioral health crisis or in need of longer-term respite care and whose needs cannot be accommodated safely in the community or in a less restrictive environment.

This position will cross train to cover multiple sites including covering shifts at Garcia House, Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Mobile Response Services, and our Crisis Stabilization Unit.

As a Behavioral Health Counselor with Mobile Crisis, you will provide on-going crisis assessments, crisis intervention techniques, conduct de-escalation, safety planning, and maintain clinical records and other reporting data for clients with mild to severe mental health and / or substance use disorders.

Duties include coordinating with internal as well as external supportive services to deliver needed services to our clients and collaborate with peers and psychiatrists regarding treatment.

Come join us and make a deep and meaningful impact on the communities we serve. The mobile crisis team is a 24 / 7 operation and applicants should expect to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Summitstone offers shift differentials to compensate for the non-traditional schedule.

This position requires knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities

Required :

  • 1-2 years professional experience as a behavioral health clinician in the human services industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Preferred :

Master's Degree or license in Human Services field from accredited College or University. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, CAS, LAC preferred.

Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver's license.

Our Behavioral Health Therapists have access to exceptional training opportunities in evidence-based practices and support in gaining and keeping licensure and addictions certification :

  • Receive supervision toward clinical licensure (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC) and / or certification (i.e. CAS) at no cost to the employee
  • Receive reimbursement for obtaining clinical licensure (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and / or certification (i.e. CAS) in addition to base pay increase
  • Have the opportunity to participate in specialized clinical certifications (i.e. EMDR, etc.)

The typical hiring range for this position for 40 hrs per week is $24.04 - $28.85 per hour for a Bachelor's level Mental Health Therapist.

Master's level is $58,011 - $69,618 per year, based on relevant years of experience.

Employees working at locations operating 24 / 7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekend and holidays.
