What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to those on site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and maintain a visible presence.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior.

Follow post orders and client instructions regarding access control, visitor management, and the handling of confidential information in a healthcare environment.

Communicate promptly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as situations arise.

Maintain awareness of any unusual activity, hazards, and / or situations that may arise and report them according to Allied Universal protocols.

Assist with crowd control and / or traffic management in and around the healthcare facility as needed.

Minimum Requirements :

An Armed Guard Card or License is required.

At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
