The Waste Auditor will perform on-site waste audits at client locations across the United States. This role involves evaluating waste streams, identifying opportunities for waste reduction and diversion, and compiling comprehensive audit reports to present actionable insights to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for sustainability. You will work closely with clients to understand their waste management practices, collect and analyze data, and deliver customized recommendations that support environmental goals and regulatory compliance.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate with client and onsite contacts to prepare logistics to ensure preparedness for audits.
- Coordinate with the audit team to prepare for audits, including building audit and travel schedule, managing supplies and inventory.
- Travel to client locations to perform hands-on waste audits. May require oversight of temp personnel who are engaged to help with auditing.
- Audits involve physically sorting commercial clients' waste streams to identify contamination and opportunities for program improvement.
- Photo document and log data of the audit process and segregated materials for report.
- Manage and analyze multiple large datasets using MS Office Suite to find trends, identify operational opportunities, and produce deliverables.
- Contact vendors to obtain relevant information for audit reports.
- Prepare and present audit reports using MS Office.
- Participate in client education events and activities.
- Conduct site visits of client facilities to ensure program compliance.
- Promote brand and services through excellent customer service during normal client interactions.

Travel to out of state locations to work on projects (40-60% travel)Flexibility to work odd hours including evenings and early morningsCollege or high school diploma; or 6+ months related experience and / or trainingProficient with Microsoft Office Programs : Excel and WordKnowledge of Google Apps, strong collaboration skillsFlexible and adaptable - willing and able to respond to internal and external requestsValid, federally compliant driver's license, must have reliable transportation and clean driving recordAbility to capture, analyze and present data to clientsEnvironmental industry experience preferred but not neededMust be able to work outdoors in different climates and weather conditionsSalary
Salary : $69,000 - $72,000 per year
