Job description

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales.

We have an immediate opening for an  Operations Lead  in our ever growing office in  New Paris, IN.  The Shop Assistant is responsible for diagnosing and repairing general automotive issues, while ensuring safety and quality to ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles.

Additionally, this position will assist with the installation of graphics and light fabrication work on vehicles.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Completes all pre-delivery inspections on vehicles that have been serviced.
  • Check in buses when they arrive from the manufacturer / send unit arrival emails.
  • Warranty administration Analyze build sheets and look over units to make sure they are built correctly.
  • Wash and take pictures of every unit.
  • Learn how to “Davey up” a unit and perform on each unit as needed.
  • Mark unit location in Karmak Fusion.
  • Create Repair orders for stock units in Karmak (eventually will create for sold as they gain experience) and distribute to the techs.
  • Maintain parts inventory and notify supervisor of parts needed.
  • Close / invoice tickets.
  • Create repair orders for retail alignments.
  • Be willing to assist supervisor in any clerical role / be willing to learn new things in Karmak.
  • Communicate with the service writing team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.
