About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Global Respiratory Products Leader to spearhead the design and delivery of late-stage respiratory programs, with a focus on asthma and COPD. The successful candidate will be a strategic cross-functional team leader, responsible for setting the product strategy, managing a team of physicians and scientists, and ensuring the execution of global clinical trials. This senior-level role demands an individual with an MD, preferably board-certified in pulmonology or allergy and immunology, and at least 10 years of clinical development experience in the biopharma industry. The role involves direct management of medical monitors and clinical scientists, development of ambitious and compliant development plans, and collaboration with various departments to define risk-benefit profiles and deliver studies on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading pivotal global studies, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities also include overseeing protocol development, providing medical leadership, and representing the company at various meetings. The role requires a leader who can build and develop a diverse, high-performing team, promote a culture of innovation, and foster resilience and adaptability. While not mandatory, previous experience in both large pharma and biotech settings, knowledge of global regulatory requirements, and a recent successful BLA submission are considered advantageous.
