Overview

The Electrical Foreman is a hands-on leadership role, working closely alongside a crew of electricians to oversee and coordinate electrical projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and safe execution of tasks, managing and guiding the crew to successfully complete electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. The Foreman Electrician demonstrates technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to drive project success while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside electrical crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions to crew members, while optimizing productivity and resource allocation.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide crew members in accurate installations and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and consistently enforcing best practices.
• Collaborate with project management to review project scope, specifications, and schedules, ensuring successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and performance, addressing any issues or challenges that arise to maintain project objectives.
• Participate in the selection, training, and development of crew members, fostering their growth and contributing to a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Effectively communicate with other trades, superintendents, and stakeholders to coordinate work and resolve conflicts.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and availability for project needs.
• Document project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes to scope or conditions.
