What they’re looking for :

• Must be licensed by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
• Must have a LSW or a LPC.
• Also be currently licensed by the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a CDCA, LCDC II, III, or LICDC. Higher than a CDCA strongly preferred.

Hours and compensation potential :

• The position is full-time day shift. May occasionally conduct an evening group as the back up if a staff member is on vacation.
• The range is between for $46K-$83K depending on experience.
• Full benefits package offered as well.

What you’ll be doing :

• Provides therapeutic counseling to chemically dependent people using a bio-psychosocial approach.
• Educates patients and families regarding the disease process for chemical dependency.
• Leads group discussions, Works 1 : 1 with patients on chemical dependency issues, and assigns group activities for Mental Health Technicians.
• Assess the patient needs and recommends appropriate groups.
• Completes billing charges / sheets daily
• Utilizes historic and current data in assessing patient needs.
• Utilizes effecting interviewing skills and supportive counseling skills.
• Provides individual and group crisis intervention, and family clinical interventions with chemical dependency clients.
• Acts as client advocate, mediator, and facilitator.
