About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Complex Financial Instruments within its Valuations team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding the team's experience and capabilities, with a focus on managing and executing complex securities valuations. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive valuation solutions across a wide range of illiquid investments, industries, and geographies. The Vice President will be responsible for designing and implementing financial models, including those used for valuing a variety of financial instruments such as contingent consideration, management incentive plans, fixed income securities, swaps, exotic options, and convertible debt. Additionally, the role involves supporting senior leaders in cross-functional engagements, developing and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the firm's high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
Applicants for the Vice President position should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field from a top program, with a preference for CFA, FRM, or PRM certification. A minimum of 6 years' experience in constructing and reviewing valuation and financial models is required, along with proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, C, or Cystal Ball. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments, and a commitment to a team-based, collaborative culture. Superior communication skills, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset are essential. The Vice President will also be involved in business development, talent acquisition, and firm-building initiatives, and must be prepared to work in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.
