Marcum Search is assisting our real estate client in their search for a Bookkeeper in Beachwood, OH . This position is in-office.
Responsibilities
- Scan, code, and post vendor invoices to system.
- Answering phones daily on overflow from reception
- Monthly Commercial Tenant Billing
- A / R Cash Receipts all properties (daily deposits)
- Follow up calls on delinquent commercial tenants.
- Enter new commercial leases / renewals.
- Semi Monthly Payroll processing
- Monthly Bank and Other Reconciliations
- Record late fees for commercial properties and call delinquent accounts.
- Filing all payables, receivables, loans, bank statements, and other as requested
- Annual 1099 Preparation.
- Annual Commercial Tenant CAM Calculation and Collection
- Other work that may be requested from time to time by Controller and Senior management.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- College degree preferred or minimum equivalent of 5 years of general accounting required.
- Experience with payables, reconciliations, and journal entries. Experience with lease renewals also helpful, but not required.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of inter-related business processes.
- Tech savvy, with a minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Working knowledge of Yardi a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
