The Scientific Analyst II will work closely with Dr. Laura Condon to build and analyze remote sensing data products of the hydrologic landscape. Work will involve data processing, workflow development, plotting and analysis. The work will require technical experience in remote sensing and data processing as well as strong graphical and verbal communication skills.

The successful candidate will join a group of highly impactful and collaborative staff and graduate students.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage geospatial data to support hydrologic research. This will involve,database management, workflow development and meta datadevelopment.
• Use the developed geospatial databases to evaluate trends in streamnetworks across the US. Work will be done primarily in python andGIS. Candidates will be expected to create maps and graphs of trends in network density for large datasets.
• Contribute to the preparation of project reports and funding proposals.
• Work with Dr. Condon to prepare scientific journal articlesdocumenting the data and analysis workflow and findings. Thecandidate will primarily be responsible for figure creation and workflowdocumentation but will also contribute to manuscript writing.
