Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Engineer, Product Development Engineering to support engineering program management activities across the product lifecycle. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to coordinate schedules, track execution to commitments, and ensure compliance with product lifecycle processes. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with advanced degrees (Master’s, PhD, MBA) who are eager to apply their academic, research, or project leadership experience to real-world product development and engineering program management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Program Execution & Delivery

Track execution of engineering deliverables, schedules, and resources.

Support integrated project planning and monitor progress against commitments.

Identify and communicate risks, and assist in driving resolution of variances.

Lifecycle & Process Management

Ensure adherence to Product Lifecycle (PLC) processes and phase checklists.

Support preparation for Phase Reviews and interim reviews as required.

Assist in managing compliance and readiness across product development stages.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate agendas, documentation, and follow-ups for Product Line Core Team (PLCT) meetings.

Maintain communication portals (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) with accurate and timely information.

Provide status updates and support reporting of program performance metrics.

Risk & Escalation Support

Collect and analyze data to support risk assessment and decision-making.

Help ensure timely closure of action items and support resolution of customer escalations.

Contribute to reports on performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications : Qualifications

REQUIRED :

Master’s, PhD, or MBA in Engineering, Business, or related field

Academic or internship experience in product development, program / project management, operations, or related areas.

Demonstrated leadership through academic research projects, internships, or team-based initiatives.

Familiarity with collaboration or project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, Jira) is a plus.

Knowledge of product lifecycle processes or engineering program management methodologies is desirable.

PREFERRED :

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams.

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
