Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Logistics PT

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Logistics PT in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, offering outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting access control procedures. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards during patrols and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and / or visitors as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and / or daily activities.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client procedures while adapting to the unique needs of a logistics and distribution environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and / or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
