POSITION SUMMARY : The Breast Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality breast ultrasound exams and assists with breast ultrasound procedures in compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. This role works collaboratively with radiologists to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of breast tissue abnormalities while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Shift Details : M - F / 7 : 30a - 4 : 30p

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Operates ultrasound equipment in accordance with organizational protocols
• Position patients, using immobilization when necessary
• Evaluate and present images to radiologists
• Assist Radiologist with ultrasound procedures
• Prepare exam / procedure rooms and equipment for studies, ensuring cleanliness
• Monitor supplies and stock room as needed
• Obtain, verify, and document all pertinent information for patient visits and procedures, including patient clinical history, prior imaging, orders, and consents
• Identify care requirements relative to each patient's age-specific needs
• Explain exams and procedures to patients
• Provide post procedural care information and follow up instructions as directed by radiologists
• Assist with onboarding and training new Diagnostic Mammography Technologists in ultrasound
• Other duties as assigned
