Job Information

Non-exempt (compensatory and / or overtime eligible; additional compensation to include annual work boot allowance) ; full-time; 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 7 : 00 a.m. 3 : 30 p.m.; full-benefits

This technical position involves independent on-site inspection of primarily residential building, plumbing and electrical installations to assure compliance with State and County regulations and requirements. Supervision is received from a Chief Inspector and / or the Manager of Inspection Services. NOTE : The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions, which are calculated per County policy. For external hires, offers are made at the base wage rate, with limited exception.

ICC Residential Building Inspector B1

ICC Combination Residential Inspector P1, E1 and M1

Possession of a State of Maryland Master Plumber's or Electrician License (or a comparable license from another jurisdiction with ability to obtain this license by reciprocity within 30 days after hire), will reduce years of plumbing / electrical installation work experience to 7 years.
