ABOUT SEYER INDUSTRIES

Founded in 1957, Seyer Industries is a small business located in St. Peters, Missouri, specializing in high-complexity machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace and maritime industries. Seyer is a turnkey supplier with extensive capabilities, including CNC machining, design engineering, mechanical assembly, chemical processing, painting, kitting, welding, and NADCAP-certified penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Our team is comprised of individuals proudly committed to the objectives of quality and productivity.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Operate and maintain LogiMAT equipment, including generating pack slips, pulling, issuing, and managing parts, troubleshooting malfunctions, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Efficiently process the intake of WIP or finished components and hardware into inventory storage locations using standardized procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across designated software systems and physical storage locations.
  • Gather, issue, and manage job kits for Assembly and Weld, ensuring the availability of required materials such as hardware, components, paints, sealants, and adhesives while promptly addressing any shortages by notifying the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts to maintain data integrity and prevent shortages.
  • Facilitate smooth production workflow by providing comprehensive training to the relevant personnel, enabling them to understand and effectively support the kitting and inventory processes.
  • Cross-train in different roles within the inventory framework as required by business needs.
  • Develop positive working relationships with team members and communicate effectively with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with Seyer Industries' Quality System and all applicable customer-invoked quality requirements (e.g., AS9100).
  • Uphold 6S standards to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Proactively report significant inventory issues to supervisors and contribute to process improvements. Stay flexible and responsive to evolving business needs by intuitively adapting to shifting priorities, processes, and procedures.
  • JOB SKILLS :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain) and reliable team-oriented work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access databases.
