Sr. IT Project Manager

This role will be a HYBRID ONSITE / OFFSITE role, with the person needing to be in the office in Long Beach, CA every Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday. Thus, we would prefer a person who lives in southern CA.

Critical needs :

• Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) planning, coordination, testing, and execution.
• Drive initiatives involving data governance, reporting automation, and data platform modernization.
• Partner across IT and Information Management teams, including the Network Operations Center ( NOC ), Security Operations Center ( SOC ), Infrastructure Operations, Service Desk, Business Applications, and Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA), to ensure alignment and delivery across technical and business workstreams.
• Apply both Waterfall and Agile / Scrum approaches, tailoring based on scope and complexity.
• Communicate technical concepts, risks, and outcomes clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
• PMP and / or Agile (PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe) preferred ; cloud platform experience or certification (AWS or Azure) strongly desired.
• Onsite in Long Beach Monday through Wednesday each week , working closely with the TSA team and other IM stakeholders.

This Sr. Project Manager will lead business application and technology-driven initiatives based on the company's goals and needs. This consultant role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, project management, and successful project delivery. Key responsibilities include developing project charters and plans, facilitating meetings, tracking project status, managing risks and issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and preparing executive status updates. Additional responsibilities may include creating project deliverables and analyzing business requirements and system design.

The Senior Project Manager must actively structure and drive projects forward while solving problems along the way. They will go beyond schedule tracking by engaging in business analysis, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate is comfortable bridging business and IT, ensuring business needs and technical feasibility align. They should be highly adaptable, able to step into any project, create structure, and drive execution.
