Store Manager

This candidate must have strong leadership and people management abilities, along with excellent communication skills and the drive / passion for retail excellence.
Job Objective :
The Store Manager II position manages all store staff, production & sales, store maintenance, customer development, banking & record-keeping procedures.
This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the assigned thrift store.
Essential Functions below should not be interpreted as all inclusive :
- Manage & lead professionally.
- Recruit & hire store staff.
- Manage employee retention & disciplinary issues.
- Manage bank runs & daily deposits.
- Maintain production reports & track inventory.
- Calmly handle customer issues / complaints.
- Train & exemplify in the areas of :
- Customer service
- POS / Cash handling
- Technical know-how
- Production (sorting, hanging, pricing & presentation)
- Donations (Receiving)
- Following SA policies
- Store goals
- All other duties as assigned.
- Supports the mission of The Salvation Army.
