Description
The Traveling Regional Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance operations across our new lease-up communities within multiple regions. This role ensures all facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. The supervisor provides hands-on technical support, leads on-site maintenance teams, manages vendors, and conducts regular travel to inspect facilities, complete repairs, and guide staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the implementation and continuity of maintenance policies and procedures in conjunction with Regional Property Managers.
- Responsible for ensuring that Maintenance Budgets are met in conjunction with Leasing Managers.
- Negotiate and monitor pricing with vendors when requested.
- Partners with Regional Property Managers to ensure timely completion of service requests in compliance policies and procedures. Develops, recommends, and partners with Regional Property Managers to address under-performing Communities that are not in compliance with Service Standards.
- Ensure that apartment turns are completed per policy in conjunction with Property and Regional Property Managers.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with inspection policies and procedures working with Property Managers.
- Ensure that Maintenance Staff at the properties understand property inventory control to optimize cash flow and ensure availability of repair parts and supplies while maintaining MMG maintenance shop standards.
- Provide training as needed for development of maintenance staff.
- Participate in the interview, selection and training process for new maintenance staff.
- Responsible as a “first responder” to coordinate the activities following a casualty event such as fire, flood, storms and other major events. Partners with Regional Property Managers to manage the immediate repairs and ongoing repair work following the event.
- Establish the priority and schedule of maintenance activity with the concurrence of the Regional Property Managers.
- Coordinate the on-call rotation with Maintenance Staff in conjunction with other Regional Maintenance Supervisors; participate in on call when needed.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of all contractors to insure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
- Prepare annual community audits to assess the physical condition of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Estimate expenditures involved, determine implementation time frame and set the priority of each project.
- Ensure a safe working environment through effective safety training, safety inspections and follow-up on housekeeping performance.
- Maintain positive and responsive relationships with government and safety related officials and inspectors.
- Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or equivalent role.Maintenance Supervisor experience in apartment industry preferred.Ability to travel – must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Ability to work to weekends if need for emergencies, snow removal, etc.Ability to do back-up on-call rotation as needed.CFC Certification preferred.General knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC and building systems.Strong understand of action and sense of urgency.Knowledge of Fair Housing.Benefits
