ICU RN Travel Job Details

Location : Texas City, TX (77591) – Conveniently located near the Gulf Coast and Houston, offering great amenities and a supportive healthcare community.

Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 18 beds, 3rd Floor, Main Hospital

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend and On-Call : Required

Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs

EMR System : Meditech

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Strong skills in medication titration, critical care nursing, restraint management, and ventilator management

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

CRRT, Impella, and IABP experience is a plus

Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) units as needed

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in an 18-bed ICU

Manage ventilators, titratable medications, and advanced critical care equipment

Perform ICU procedures such as restraint application, Artic Sun therapy, and other interventions

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, CNAs, sitters, and charge nurses

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR

Comply with hospital policies, unit guidelines, and HCA iCARE values

Float to ED and Med Surg units as required to support patient care
