Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care

  • Location : Mohawk Valley Health System, NY
  • Setting : Acute Care / Rehab / Outpatient
  • Schedule : 8-hour days (8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM)
  • Weekend Rotation : As scheduled within a 40-hour workweek
  • Travel Radius : 75-mile rule applies (local rate for candidates within 75 miles)
  • Local Candidates : Accepted (local rate applies)

    • Position Overview :

    We’re seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the Mohawk Valley Health System team. The SLP will provide coverage across acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings , as scheduled. Flexibility to adjust to varying patient loads and departments is essential.

    Responsibilities :

  • Provide patient coverage within inpatient hospital, acute rehab, and outpatient clinic settings.
  • Conduct swallowing evaluations (bedside required; video fluoroscopy preferred but not required).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

    • Requirements :

  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Active NY State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

    • Prior experience in acute or rehab settings preferred.

    Travel position; 75-mile radius rule applies.

    Local candidates welcome (local pay rate applies).
