Wirks Moving & Storage is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our facility operations during the afternoon and evening shift. This is not a desk job — it's a leadership role where you're expected to roll up your sleeves, solve problems in real time, and ensure our crews and customers end the day with a 5-star experience.
Note that the advertised shift will be required for 90-days, during which time you will have the opportunity to learn and develop. After that time, you will have the opportunity to adjust the schedule in a manner that best serves the business needs and maximizes your contribution to the organization.
What You’ll Be Responsible For :
- Leading PM Operations : Ensure every truck returns safely, every move is completed professionally, and every detail is accounted for.
- Working in Tandem : Partner with our AM Operations Lead to ensure seamless shift transitions and end-of-day success.
- On-the-Ground Leadership : You may be called to get on a truck, help complete a job, or jump in wherever needed to uphold our standards.
- Customer Communication & De-Escalation : Handle late-day customer concerns, damages, and delays with poise, professionalism, and care.
- Team Accountability & Motivation : Push teams to finish strong, manage fatigue, and maintain high morale through difficult or late moves.
- Truck Check-In & Inventory : Ensure trucks return clean, stocked, and ready; track inventory usage and restock efficiently.
- Next-Day Preparation : Set up the morning shift for success with clear communication, clean equipment, and accurate staging.
- Job Closeout : Review job notes, confirm job completion, and assist with ensuring full bill collection when needed.

Willingness to work past 6 : 00 PM when crews are still on the road.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on trucks if needed.Experience in operations, logistics, or team management (moving industry experience is a plus, but not required).Tech-savviness with scheduling, inventory, or CRM tools is a bonus.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Why Wirks?
