About The Position

  • Minimum 1 Year of Pediatric Emergency Room Experience Required
  • Level 1 Trauma Experience Preferred, Level 2 Trauma Experience Required
  • Previous Charge Experience : 1.5 Years

License :

  • Valid State License Preferred
  • Certifications :
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • Must-Have :

  • Experience in General Emergency Department for All Ages
  • Ability to Manage Pediatric Patients with Various Conditions
  • Description :

    This position requires three 12-hour night shifts.

    Candidates must have Level 1 or 2 trauma experience.

    No floating to other units or on-call duties will be required.

    General Emergency Department experience for all ages is acceptable.

    Candidates must possess 1 year of Pediatric Emergency Room experience.

    PALS, BLS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory.

    The pediatric ED is responsible for assessing patient needs.

    Planning and coordinating interventions and consultations are crucial.

    Procedures in the pediatric ED include placing venous access and drawing bloodwork.

    Additional procedures include medication administration, fluid and blood administration, and radiography.

    Candidates will perform tasks such as extremity splinting and laceration repair.

    Moderate and deep sedation, ultrasonography, and intubation are part of the responsibilities.

    Candidates must be prepared for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

    The patient population includes neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.

    Daily patient census may reach up to 49 patients per day.

    Patient diagnoses can range from minor to critical care situations.

    The role involves managing patients with abdominal pain, trauma, respiratory distress, and other urgent health conditions.

    Interdisciplinary support is available in areas such as respiratory services and social services.

    Candidates will help manage patients who may require complex medical interventions.
