The Role
We are looking for an Innovative Prefabrication Systems Engineer to lead the evolution of oWOW's prefabricated component systems. You will connect design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation, collaborating closely with our design team, fabricators, suppliers, and installers to create scalable building systems that reduce costs, enhance quality, and speed up construction.
What You'll Do
Expand Our Facade Catalog
- Engineer and prototype innovative unitized cladding and envelope systems that harmonize aesthetics, performance, and manufacturability.
- Work alongside facade fabricators and suppliers to refine system details, connections, and production sequences.
- Generate shop drawings and 3D fabrication models, coordinating efforts with structural and waterproofing consultants.
- Construct and test physical mock-ups to validate installation procedures and document learnings for ongoing improvement.
Develop Prefabricated Interior Systems
Design prefabricated interior walls and ceilings, incorporating coordinated MEP components.Lead mock-up testing and on-site trials to enhance speed, precision, and reliability.Facilitate communication between MEP engineers, fabricators, and installers to ensure systems are field-ready and compliant with codes.Negotiate with suppliers to secure bulk pricing and master service agreements with manufacturing partners.You're a Great Fit If You
Have 3+ years of experience in facade engineering, modular construction, or prefabrication R&D.Have practical experience with unitized curtain walls, panelized systems, or volumetric modules in a fabrication or construction setting.Excel at translating design intentions into practical, testable, and replicable assemblies.Can read shop drawings, collaborate with engineers, and fabricators to create prototypes.Thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment where creativity meets precision and timeliness.Are adept at working with vendors, fabricators, and installers to address details, verify performance, and amplify production capabilities.Exhibit curiosity, resourcefulness, and a passion for enhancing construction methodologies.Minimum Qualifications
Professional or academic background in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in prefabrication, facade engineering, or modular construction.Solid understanding of structural systems and envelope design.Strong project management skills, with a track record of ownership and delivering measurable results.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with design-to-fabrication workflows and shop drawings.Familiarity with MEP coordination and integration within prefabricated systems.A history of negotiating with suppliers and securing volume pricing agreements.Hands-on experience with mockups, testing, and inspections.Our Core Values
