The Manufacturing Leader must manage the Memphis site operation of Steel Shop, drive the team towards a culture of excellence in Safety, Quality, Cost Efficiency, and embrace and
contribute to designing strategic plans and the execution of clips production.
Minimum Qualifications :
- At a minimum, a United States High School diploma (or foreign equivalent).
- 3 years’ experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Responsibilities :
Comply with and enforce the group and local policies.Collaborate with all the functions within the Company (Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, QHSE, Administration, Human Resources and Finance).Empower, motivate and manage the steel team.Develop employees to their full potential and ensure continuity through succession planning, especially for the shift supervisors.Conduct liaison with the key interlocutors, maintain / develop an efficient professional team of staff appropriate to the current or future levels of business.Maximize steel operations always in partnership with plastics operation, by defining and implementing procedures which should lead to a better performance and quality.Ensure compliance with Group procedures.Plan the production of clips and therefore resources needed to execute the forecasts : material and people.Collaborate with the whole manufacturing management team, supporting the other functions as needed.Implement and guide the whole team on the Pandrol Excellent System, partnering with the Sr. Manufacturing Manager.Engage the Tier 1, 2 and 3 meetings, making sure the production problems will be escalated accordingly.Report the overall KPIs on Qualishare monthly.Build action plans when targets are not met.Establish appropriate internal meeting and reporting structure.Engage in all projects related to the steel operation and non-related ones, when requested by the Sr. Manufacturing Manager.Skills :
This position also requires hands-on experience in the railway equipment manufacturing industry monitoring work order systems and production engineering flows and adjusting and modifying production machinery; experience in implementing safety protocols and techniques within manufacturing processes; and knowledge in lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
