Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
  • ARRT (M) – Certified Mammography Technologist
  • BLS from AHA
  • State Radiology License

    • Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Mammograms – Conduct both 2D and 3D (tomosynthesis) mammography exams using Hologic equipment.
  • Patient Care & Comfort – Prepare and position patients properly, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Quality Image Production – Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation by radiologists.
  • Follow Safety Protocols – Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance – Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance and quality control checks on mammography units.
  • Documentation & Charting – Accurately record exam data and patient information in the Epic electronic health record system.
  • Assist with Biopsies – Support radiologists during breast biopsy procedures when required.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other imaging staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Patient Education – Explain procedures clearly, answer questions, and provide post-exam instructions as needed.
  • Compliance & Professionalism – Maintain ARRT certification, BLS credentials, and comply with all hospital and regulatory standards.
