Director of Engineering

• Strong background in both heavy gauge thermoforming and CNC operations is a must have to be considered for this position.
• Summary The Director of Engineering will oversee product engineering operations, quality control and maintenance department.
• In addition, the Director of Engineering will lead our engineering department and help us build great products, while managing our infrastructure and ensure all internal systems operate securely and effectively.

• Lead and manage above-named teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
• Consults with Chief Operations Officer and Director of Operations and others to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the organization.
• Develop new products from concept to testing to production.
• Collaborates with other departments to determine market potential for new products.
• Oversee progress and timeliness of projects.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
• Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
• Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
• Ensure compliance with all housekeeping 5S procedures and all quality and safety regulations.
• Using the design software, implement necessary changes and or new products for approvals.
• Assist programming on the floor utilizing the machine’s CNC software.
• Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted.
• Review existing molds to gain operational efficiency and to increase our capacity.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Proficiency in CAD / CAM software and other engineering tools.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to drive process improvements and optimization.
• Familiarity with quality control processes.
• Education and / or Experience Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment thermoforming environments.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
