VICE PRESIDENT, ALASKA ENGINEERING - Food Manufacturing

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary : The Vice President of Engineering has oversight of the teams that provide operation and maintenance of facility, vessel, and factory structures and machinery as well as planning and executing projects of diverse size and complexity up to and including major infrastructure projects for Domestic Operations.

Facility and Factory Management :

• Oversees the development and implementation of the factory and facility maintenance programs.
• Establishes, prepares, and maintains policies and SOP’s related to factory and facility maintenance.
• Directs and oversees installation of major and minor factory and facility upgrades and repairs.
• Directs or facilitates collaboration with regulatory agencies to confirm compliance with required programs, and ensures permits are current.
• Oversees all port-based maintenance and repair activities for fishing vessels.
• Ensures timely execution of dry-docking, refits, and emergency repairs.
• Ensures adherence to all maritime safety, environmental, and engineering regulations.

Capital projects planning and execution :

Creates business cases to support projects that include ROI, gap analysis and risk assessment.

Team Management :

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $230,000 to $280,000.

Work environment (includes travel / on-call) :

Ability to travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, up to 50%. When not travelling, this position is based onsite at the Trident Office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the possibility of remote work on Fridays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
