Job Title : Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components including valves, coils, and other large structural parts. You will work in a team environment to install components such as bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into oversized modules built from structural tubes. This role involves 90% mechanical and 10% basic electrical assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of components including valves, coils, and large mechanical structural parts.
  • Install components such as bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into oversized modules.
  • Conduct basic electrical assembly tasks such as pulling wire and installing bus bars and cable trays.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work orders or instructions, and communicate them effectively to the team.
  • Work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment, focusing on high volume production.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly, especially with valves, coils, and structural mechanical parts.
  • Experience with hand tools such as drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, levels, and measuring tapes.
  • Experience operating machines like large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work instructions.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in high-volume or mass production manufacturing environments.
  • Basic electrical experience, including wire pulling and conduit assistance.
  • Experience with companies such as Enerflex, Spitzer, Hanover, Orizon, Turbo Fab, and others is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a manufacturing environment with concrete flooring and non-climate-controlled facilities. Open bay doors, forklifts, and overhead cranes are frequently in use, and proximity to welders may be required.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00 / hr.
