Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, providing support through behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role is essential in helping clients improve their daily living skills, manage behaviors, and achieve their personal goals in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior for ongoing assessment.
- Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide support and guidance in behavior management strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
- Teach social skills and communication techniques to enhance client interactions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, medical records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health.
Qualifications
Experience working with children or individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is highly preferred.Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis methodologies.Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards.Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation processes.Ability to effectively collect data and analyze client behaviors for treatment adjustments.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.A compassionate approach combined with patience and resilience in challenging situations.Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe after hiring.
