As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will make a strong, lasting, and positive impact on the lives of children every day.

RBT's utilize and apply Applied Behavioral Analysis principles to clients with autism and related diagnoses in the home, community, and school settings.

ABA therapy involves both psychological and educational techniques based on the needs of each client.

The RBT seeks to motivate the client through positive reinforcement of socially acceptable behavior and teaching replacement strategies for challenging behavior.

ABA therapy has shown to increase socialization, play, and language / communication skills while minimizing or eliminating challenging behavior.

This position may require the RBT to intervene and decrease physically challenging behaviors such as aggression toward others and injury toward self.

An ideal candidate will do so while upholding client dignity and communicating respectfully to and about the client.

• Center-based technicians will help with transporting clients via RCG vehicle and must have a clean driving record.
• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Provides direct services to clients and implements daily activities as outlined by the individualized treatment plan under the direct supervision and delegation of a Behavior Analyst.
• Supports and provides family training that integrates behavioral modification strategies to be implemented in the home and or the natural environment under the direct supervision and delegation of a Behavior Analyst.
• Completes all required documentation including behavioral data, daily notes, and weekly billing records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Utilizes safe & appropriate safety management protocols when working with clients.
• Collaborates and coordinates with other service providers working with clients to encourage consistency among client families / caregivers and all providers such as Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Physical Therapists.
• Receives supervision from the assigned Behavior Analyst at a minimum of 5% of services provided to discuss client updates, progress, or concerns.
• Maintains a RBT tracking log to document how supervision requirements are being met.  Must have a valid Virginia State driver’s license and be willing to provide transportation of clients as needed based on the needs of the assigned program.
