Senior Linux Administrator

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a Linux Administrator for their team. This position involves managing a caseload from a customer support team, handling technical cases that do not involve customer content; approximately 95% of cases will be technical, with opportunities to rotate into more projects. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, problem solving, tracking performance issues, creating knowledge artifacts, and collaborating with engineering to log bugs and facilitate fixes.

Skills and Requirements

• Linux

Red Hat-based distributions, managing built-in firewalls and services, troubleshooting to root cause, understanding Linux logs and errors, tracing problems, scripting, and automation.

Experience as a DBA or performing DBA duties, managing databases, creating queries, and deciding on database architecture.

Extensive coding in Java, understanding application built-in, or experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

7+ years in a production environment, creating SQL queries from scratch.
