RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required

Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume (>

100,000 visits) ED preferred

Previous HCA experience preferred

Patient ratios : typically 4 : 1 medical, up to 7 : 1 on ED behavioral holds

101-bed emergency department with 24 / 7 operations

Must work every other weekend with flexible scheduling to meet department needs

No floating outside of ED but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED

Work with equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors

Documentation in Cerner system

Navy scrubs required uniform

Required certifications before start date : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS

ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time

Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout visit

Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing areas

Unit clerks available during days and nights
