The Role in Brief :

Senior Director, Data, Advancement Marketing Services

This position is a senior management position within EAB's Advancement Marketing Services (AMS) business, primarily responsible for managing the data analyst team.

Our data analysts are an integral part of a team focused on executing marketing campaigns to help optimize advancement outcomes (fundraising and alumni giving) for our higher education college and university partners.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the health, robustness, and comprehensiveness of customer data necessary to power advancement campaigns and analytics for EAB's AMS business.

This includes onboarding new customers, launching first campaigns, and ensuring that subsequent marketing campaigns are launched with a high degree of accuracy.

This role will manage a team of data analysts and will be responsible for ensuring that team members have the tools and information they need to succeed on behalf of their customers.

This individual will also collaborate closely with senior leaders across the AMS business to ensure data operations are in line with and ready to power all initiatives happening across the business.

This role will ideally be based in Richmond, VA or Washington, D.C.; remote candidates within the continental United States are welcome to apply as well.

This opening is not eligible for visa sponsorship at this time; EAB will thus consider candidates who possess U.S. work authorization that does not require employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Ensure health, robustness, and comprehensiveness of customer data necessary to launch marketing campaigns and analytics for AMS business.
  • Provide management and leadership for a team of data analysts.
  • Set goals and accountability for team performance.
  • Ensure team has tools and information they need to be successful.
  • Collaborate with other AMS division leaders on initiatives that advance the business.
  • Understand and interact with the technology stack by which customer data is processed at EAB.
  • Talk to customers and prospects regularly about EAB's data integration methodology and practices. Support team members on calls as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years' experience encompassing all the following :
  • Managing teams, setting goals, and measuring team performance
  • Working directly with customers to roll out service offerings and ensuring customer success
  • Onboarding new customers onto cloud / SaaS offerings and ensuring robust data integration between systems

Ideal Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in business intelligence or delivering analytics to customers
  • 2+ years' experience with SQL

Compensation :

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $105,000 - $134,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location.

At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
