Job Description

The cook position functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the Kitchen Manager. This position is required to provide outstanding internal guest service, prepare menu items using cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment, manage portion control and food waste and maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for cooking and packaging food products which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
• Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens and grills.
• Receives verbal orders from counter staff or directly from guest.
• Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked.
• Prepares and cooks food according to instructions provided on kitchen display systems or through verbal directions; verifies the quality and quantity of all orders.
• Multitasks by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared in accordance with guest instructions.
• Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
• Ensures portion control and maintains appropriate serving temperatures of all products served.
• Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and restocking of workstations.
• Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
• Adheres to all relevant health department rules and regulations.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual.
