YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Packaging Engineer, you will lead and support packaging initiatives that align with business goals and sustainability standards. This will involve :

Collaborating with packaging suppliers and Indirect Procurement to source materials and grow a reliable, diverse supplier base.

Evaluating new suppliers and partnering with the SRM team to resolve performance or compliance issues.

Selecting and testing packaging materials to meet product, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.

Supporting the Operations team by developing and maintaining accurate packaging instructions.

Conducting cost analyses and developing tender specifications to identify value-driven, long-term packaging solutions.

Working with global teams to standardize and streamline packaging solutions.

Managing documentation and reporting of packaging specifications and testing outcomes for internal stakeholders.

Supporting internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, Operations) by providing technical guidance and solving packaging challenges.

Identifying and implementing continuous improvements in packaging processes, including eco-friendly and waste-reduction practices.

Monitoring market trends, packaging innovations, and industry standards to inform business strategy and decision-making.

Actively pursuing professional development through training, conferences, and industry engagement to stay current with packaging technologies and best practices.

HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE

We're looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need :

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

2+ years' experience in packaging development, preferably in an international or regulated environment.

Familiarity with ASTM, ISTA, EU regulations, and sustainable packaging trends (preferred)

Lean principles experience is highly desirable.

Must be eligible for international travel (passport required).
