Opportunity
We’re hiring a Learning & Development Lead to design and scale onboarding, training, and continuous education for our clinical and patient-facing teams. This role is key to ensuring every patient interaction reflects Haven’s standards of compassion, quality, and excellence. You’ll report into the Head of operations and partner with the CMO, clinical leaders, and service experience teams to create training programs that help Haven grow with consistency and heart.
This is a build-from-scratch role : you’ll create the foundation for L&D at Haven, designing both content and process, and directly shaping the culture of how we develop and support our teams.
Responsibilities
Build and own the onboarding experience for new clinicians and staff (MD / DOs, APPs, RNs, MAs, navigators, and support roles).
Design and deliver clinical training programs, ensuring care standards are consistent across states and service lines.
Partner with leadership to create a structured curriculum for clinical protocols, service experience, compliance basics, and Haven-specific tools.
Implement ongoing learning and coaching programs to reinforce skills, improve patient experience, and maintain high service standards.
Establish feedback loops with staff and patients to continuously improve training content and delivery.
Collaborate with operations and clinical leadership to scale L&D as Haven expands into new states and service offerings.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in learning and development, clinical education, or healthcare training.
Strong portfolio of training content that demonstrates ability to design, deliver, and measure high-quality learning programs.
Proven ability to create visually engaging and effective training materials independently (slide decks, guides, video-based learning, toolkits).
Background in nursing, clinical education, or healthcare operations preferred, but strong L&D professionals from other healthcare areas will be considered.
Experience designing onboarding and training programs in a healthcare or startup environment.
Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to create engaging, clear, and practical training experiences.
Comfort with building systems in a 0–1 environment, including designing curricula, tools, and measurement systems from scratch.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience using AI tools to accelerate training development (content generation, adaptive learning, knowledge bases).
Familiarity with digital health platforms and telemedicine workflows.
Exposure to patient-centered specialties like behavioral health, women’s health, pain, or chronic care.
Fit
Love building systems that help people grow and succeed.
Are motivated by creating consistency at scale without losing humanity and compassion.
Thrive in early‑stage environments where you have freedom to design and iterate.
Care deeply about patient experience and know training is the backbone of service quality.
